Basics of Pistol Shooting

LEVEL: BEGINNER, no experience or gear required

This Basic of Pistol Shooting course is the easiest entry point into shooting handguns safely and effectively.  The "blended" format allows the student to obtain the basic knowledge studying at their own pace and convenience using the NRA e- learning approach followed by a safe, fun on-range practical session.

1041 will send you a course code and a link to the online course that will allow to study and take the final exam, connecting your score to the practical range session we will do together at Saltwaters.  If you do the E learning modules prior to signing up for the class, enter the PIN you received when you completed the online training.

The course and range session covers general gun safety, safely handling a pistol, loading and unloading procedures, marksmanship fundamentals (stance, grip, sight picture and trigger control), pistol selection and maintenance.

The range session is from 9 AM to 1 PM and end with shooting a "qualification" target to test your new skills. After that, we will shoot a lot for fun to allow us to coach you to further and improve your practical skills.
