Defensive Handgun 1

LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE

​

This course is an all shooting format that covers the basics of defensive handgun shooting. Assess and improve your grip, trigger control and body mechanics to shoot quickly and with practical accuracy. The class will include strong-hand and weak-hand shooting, shooting from/around cover and shooting while on the move.

 

Participants must have taken a basic handgun or equivalent course.

Required Kit: 

​

• Students typically fire around 400 rounds on a live range closely monitored by certified instructors.

• Students should bring their weapon, a functional belt, strong-side outside the waistband holster, and spare magazines.

• Students are required to provide their own eye and ear protection which must be worn at all times on the range.

• You are responsible for providing your own ammunition which can be brought with you or purchased at the range if inventory is available.

• Closed toed shoes are required, dress comfortably to be  able to shoot and move around on the range. 

• ALL weapons must be unloaded upon arrival to the class.
